When: October 23, 2011 12-3pm
Where: Greek Row on the UAH Campus
A couple days ago, I was walking to the library. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw this big green sign. It read "Coneys for a Cure." Naturally, I assumed (since it is October, after all) that it was a breast cancer awareness event.
However, once I walked inside the Shelby Center across the street, I noticed a flier on a door, for "Coneys for a Cure." Imagine my surprise when I read that it is actually an event for pancreatic cancer research/awareness!
I was so excited! I wrote a note to one of the e-mails listed on the flier, basically asking to write about the event and ask if there was any interest in giving out and/or displaying some fliers for my website. Luckily, they said yes! I'll be dropping them off tomorrow (Sunday) and hope that they'll get into good hands.
If you're reading this website, as a result of attending the event, please feel free to leave a comment and let me know :)
Thanks so much to all the ladies of Delta Zeta for their philanthropic efforts in support of pancreatic cancer research and awareness!
